What is HomeMate’s Mission?
As you read the pages within Homemate, you may be wondering if this is for you.
Well, we believe that you can quickly determine this by seeing whether our mission aligns with what you want of your new home builder.
As a starting point, let’s talk about our shared challenge as new home builders.
As at January 2011, Australia had a reported housing shortage of 180,000 units. Each year this figure has grown larger.
So we , as the building Industry are simply not keeping up with demand. There are a number of factors why this is the case, including:
- Housing affordability,
- The current slow development process of residential land,
- The homebuyers desire for larger, better equipped and more energy efficient homes,
- Mortgage stress due to rising interest rates and
- Queensland’s growing population through natural growth, intrastate migration, and migration.
Obviously we need to do more than just build new homes for our customers, as we are not achieving that in a timely enough manner with our current systems. keeping do what we are currently doing will only put home buyers further and further behind where they want to be.
It is our view that, as a nation, and as part of such an important industry as the housing industry undoubtedly is, we need to build more homes faster that are consistent with the needs of our home buyer customers than we are right now.
Naturally, we can’t solve all these problems for everyone in Australia on our own, but we believe we can do what we do more effectively by helping more of our customers to build affordable, space efficient homes that satisfy their needs more quickly. And we can, I believe do that by helping them through the decision making process. This is Rick Adlam’s intent, and the purpose of HomeMate, because if we can make the decision of buying a home easier, then everyone will benefit in there own way.
We will make the decision of buying a home easier by:
- Making it easier for home buyers to build their new home sooner with us.
- And we will do that by removing some of the uncertainty in the decision by clarifying the issues involved in reaching that decision.
We have developed a mission statement to assist and guide us in our quest.
Our Mission Statement
Our mission to is contribute to eliminating Australia’s Housing shortage, by designing and constructing and packaging affordable, energy efficient new homes in the Gold Coast and Logan Shire regions, that assist our customers to move forward with their lives sooner than otherwise possible.
Our Ideal. That Australia’s housing shortage is eliminated by building and distributing space efficient homes that most people can afford to own.

How we intend to achieve our mission.
We intend to create a resource for new home buyers to get the information they need to move forward with their new home project.
This resource, called HomeMate, will be designed to help new home buyers:
- Understand their housing and or land needs, their preferences and their budgets more clearly.
- Select and secure land in their preferred area on which to build their new home.
- Select the right home design from our portfolio that meets their land requirements, family needs and budget.
- Make any modifications to the plans that may be necessary to meet those needs.
- Assist them through the process. These steps may include:
- Get the home tenders accepted and into council
- Construct the new home to practical completion
- Handover the new home on time and within budget.
Our desired outcome.
To build more homes more quickly that meet our customers housing and budget needs.
